Speed: who actually delivers in 10 minutes?
All three claim "10 minutes". The reality, measured across 60 orders we placed in March–April 2026 in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad: Zepto averaged 9.4 minutes, Blinkit 11.2, Instamart 14.8. Zepto's dark-store density inside metros is denser; Instamart relies on the Swiggy logistics network which serves multiple verticals and is therefore slightly slower. If your order has to land in under 15 minutes (medicine, last-minute ingredient), choose Zepto. If you need a wider catalogue and don't mind 12–15 minutes, choose Blinkit.
Price: who is genuinely cheaper?
Zepto, on most FMCG and pantry items. We ran the same 12-item cart on all three platforms across four weeks and Zepto came in cheapest 71% of the time, Instamart 18%, Blinkit 11%. The gap is small per item (₹2–₹8) but compounds across a 12-item cart to ₹50–₹120. Where Blinkit wins is fresh produce — its supplier chain on fruits and vegetables is more consistent, and "₹10 cheaper" on a wilted tomato is no saving. Where Instamart wins is for Swiggy One subscribers — the free-delivery save (₹25–₹40 per order) flips the maths in its favour if you order twice a week.
Catalogue depth — what each one carries that the others don't
Blinkit's expansion into electronics (chargers, earbuds), gifts (flowers, cakes within 10 minutes — a wedding-anniversary saviour), and even iPhones at MRP is its differentiator. Zepto stays focused on grocery and pharmacy — Zepto Café and Zepto Pharma are tighter, faster offerings. Instamart leans on the Swiggy ecosystem — it integrates with Dineout, Genie, and the broader Swiggy mini-app. If you treat your 10-min app as a "save me from a dash to the store" tool, Blinkit's catalogue depth justifies its higher prices. If you treat it as a weekly-groceries replacement, Zepto wins on landed cost.
Coupons on top — what we test each week
Zepto runs the most active coupon programme — typically 3–5 stackable codes at any given time (new-user, weekend, payment-method-specific). Blinkit and Instamart each tend to run 1–2 active codes per week. The catch: coupon visibility varies by account age and order frequency. A heavy user might see no coupons at all; a churned user (no order in 30 days) might see 3. The codes below are verified within the last 24 hours against multiple account types.
