How discounts actually work at Swiggy
Swiggy's discounting splits across three separate mechanisms that people tend to conflate. There are platform codes, which are cohort-issued and vary by account; there are restaurant-funded offers, which show as a percentage on the listing itself and require no code at all; and there is Swiggy One, which removes delivery fees rather than discounting food. The largest saving on a typical order is usually the restaurant-funded offer, not the code — and because the two apply to different parts of the bill, ordering from a restaurant already running its own promotion and then applying a platform code is what produces the genuinely low totals. Instamart, Dineout and Genie sit under the same account but run separate offer pools; a code valid on food delivery generally will not apply to an Instamart basket.

What actually stacks at Swiggy
A Swiggy platform code and a bank offer usually apply together, though the bank portion is capped low enough that it matters mainly on smaller orders. What does not stack is two platform codes, or a platform code with a restaurant-funded discount that is already applied as a percentage rather than as a code. For anyone ordering more than about six times a month, Swiggy One saves more than any coupon does, because it removes the delivery fee on every order rather than discounting one.
