On launch day and during the first festive sale, prices on flagship phones diverge by ₹3,000–₹8,000 between Amazon and Flipkart — almost entirely driven by which platform has the "exclusive" tag. Bank offers are the single biggest swing factor. Flipkart's tie-ups with Axis Bank, ICICI, HDFC, Kotak and Citi typically stack to ₹3,000–₹6,000 off on flagships during sales. Amazon's headline partner is SBI (10% instant up to ₹2,000–₹3,000) plus its own Amazon Pay ICICI card for 5% perpetual cashback. The Amazon Pay ICICI card is the best general-purpose Amazon card if you shop there monthly. If you carry Flipkart Axis Bank, every Flipkart purchase already earns 5% — that compounds across the year more than any one-off deal. Exchange — where Flipkart pulls ahead
Flipkart's exchange engine has been more generous since 2024 — particularly for iPhones, where the platform aggressively subsidises old-iPhone trade-ins to win the listing. Amazon Prime's logistics network is still the gold standard in tier-2 and tier-3 Indian cities — same-day or next-day delivery is more reliable.
